Nanette Milne, 23/02/2011
Nanette Milne, Conservative MSP for the North East has given her support to Scottish Tourism Week and has called for tourism promotion to work to realised Scotland’s potential as a first class European Ski destination. Scottish Tourism Week runs from February 28 to March 4.
Nanette Milne, Conservative MSP for the North East said:
“The tourism industry is vital to the north-east economy and not only supports many jobs in rural areas but also helps support many vulnerable communities.
“I will be supporting Scottish tourism week as a keen skier by encouraging people to visit Scotland’s ski centres. For many rural communities the ski Industry is a vital part of the local economy and I believe a priority for Scottish tourism must be to encourage more Scots to stay at home and ski at one of Scotland’s ski centres as well as marketing Scotland as a first class European Ski destination.”
